For steam (autoclave), EtO and formaldehyde, PAMAX pouches and reels in medical-grade paper with PET/PE or PET/PP film are recommended and carry a printed chemical indicator for each method. For radiation and low-temperature processes, 60 or 80 g/m² medical-grade paper and crepe paper are also suitable. If in doubt, tell us the method and the item to be sterilized and our technical team will recommend the best option.

A pouch comes with three sealed edges in standard sizes: just insert the item and seal the fourth edge. A reel has both edges sealed and is cut by the user to the exact length of the item, sealing both ends. Reels reduce waste and suit items of varying sizes; pouches are faster when items have a standard size.

60 g/m² paper suits most hospital and dental applications and sealing to PE and PP films. Reinforced 80 g/m² paper is recommended when greater mechanical strength is needed, such as heavy or sharp instruments, prostheses, implants and sealing to rigid blisters and trays (PET and PVC).
